Curious or already determined to work in primary care in Dalarna and with rural medicine? Then you are welcome to apply to the Vansbro Health Center, as we will have a vacant position in January. The small health center with a big heart!

With us, you will find a work environment where doctors are listened to and can influence both care and the work environment. By your side at the health center, you will find great support from competent and cheerful colleagues; the medical team consists of doctors with specialist competence in general medicine, internal medicine, and palliative medicine. You will also work in a team with specialist nurses for patients with chronic diseases, rehabilitation coordinators, and care coordinators for mental health. Access to X-ray and ultrasound is available for certain acute and planned examinations. The health center also has an assessment reception and an assessment unit. The assessment unit collaborates with ambulance services. It is staffed by an experienced ambulance nurse and can be supported by a primary care physician for assessment and treatment on-site. The health center in Vansbro is located in the scenic Västerdalarna, with beautiful seasons where ski trails, mountain bike paths, and open water intersect. We have about 6700 registered patients.

Working as a doctor at a rural health center means working creatively and solution-focused. At the clinic, you will have more time for examination and assessment to help patients who show symptoms of multiple diagnoses, as well as mentoring future colleagues in training. We offer a purposeful and evidence-based care that is adapted to the local community. The care should be equitable and of good quality, provided close to the population, and reduce the need for travel and admissions to inpatient care. Here, there is an opportunity to work with everything from our fragile elderly to acute cases of the day. The medical team is a competent group that values good collaboration. We meet regularly to discuss cases, have internal training, and discuss current issues. We drive and participate in research projects related to our work tasks. Together, we actively work to develop the health center and create good close care in rural areas. You participate in a meeting every week with the medical team either online or in person.

Requirements:

• You are a licensed physician with specialist competence in general medicine.
• A valid driver's license is required.
